Program Goal
The goal of the Aboriginal component of the Canada Prenatal/Postnatal Nutrition Program is to holistically improve the health of expectant women and infants, 0—6 months, through educational workshops focusing on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing.


For Your Information...
This program is a part-time, “participation-based” program that focuses on teaching and preventing high risk situations through workshops. “Participation-based” means that you should come to workshops regularly to take full advantage of what the program can do for you!

What this program has to offer ...

Education on pregnancy, child birth, infant care and development;

Nutritional guidance and education;

Support and assistance with dr’s appointments;

Labour and delivery support, hospital and home visits;

Breastfeeding support and education;

An extensive resource lending library containing books, videos, dvds, etc.

Recreational activities, various social programs;
Emergency assistance, and travel assistance to any scheduled workshop.
