Woodstock Tae Kwon Do Invitational Tournament (click for more information and forms to download)

On Sunday, February 5th, 2006, the Woodstock Taekwon-Do Club was destroyed when the roof of the four-storey building where it was housed collapsed. Over 15 years of the region’s Taekwon-Do history and Master Simard’s collection of 40 years of personal achievements was lost. The club, which never operated for profit, was owned and operated by Master Dan Simard, who’s priority was to give to the community. The club’s history includes hundreds of public demonstrations at special community events, parade floats, seminars, competing at and hosting regional, provincial, national and international tournaments and producing scores of internationally competitive athletes. In the spirit of giving, Master Simard also reached out to provide Taekwon-Do to Aboriginal communities, offering students who would normally not have access to the martial art an opportunity to improve health and well-being, building confidence and self-esteem for children and families.

This Invitational Tournament is a fundraising event to assist in rebuilding Woodstock Taekwon-Do. N’Amerind Martial Arts is proud to host this tournament on behalf of the Aboriginal community of London in partnership with Woodstock Taekwon-Do.
