History of N'Amerind (London) Friendship Centre
The N'Amerind (London) Friendship Centre is a charitable, non-profitable organization that has been serving the needs of Aboriginal people who reside throughout southwestern Ontario for over 40 years. N'Amerind was incorporated on April 20, 1967 and is an established member of the Ontario Federation of Indian Friendship Centres(OFIFC), and the National Association of Friendship Centres(NAFC). Today N'Amerind Friendship Centre is well-established within the London community and surrounding area, due to the generaous support provided by the Native community and co-operative working relationship with Native and Non-Native organizations and agencies.

N'Amerind is committed to promoting healthy, holistic, lifestyles for Urban Aboriginal people; our array of programming reinforces the importance of preserving and developing the unique cultural and spiritual heritage of Aboriginal Nations.

Since N'Amerind inception, various programs, services and activities have been implemented to offer Aboriginal individuals and/or their families culturally appropriate, holistic models to meet self-identified needs. Cultural education, health promotion, healing and wellness, crisis intervention/prevention/education, elderly care, youth programming, social/recreational activities, traditional teachings, addiction recovery, high school academic studies, family support, as well as outside referral and follow-up support are some of the ongoing daily activities incorporated to meet the needs of our people.
